Scouting Report
Is a very good skater who can move well in traffic...Is strong on his skates and has a strong frame...Has good skills and is a good team player...Has a strong will to develop and places high value on coaching as a contributing factor in his development. (98-99 media guide) Has offensive upside and is already a two-way force. Can play all three forward positions, which makes him indispensable to the Nashville franchise. Must prove his first full season wasn't a fluke and continue to improve his output. Should shoot more and take better advantage of his shot. Arkhipov looks more like a franchise player than David Legwand these days. He has vaulted to the top of the center depth chart in Nashville and could continue to progress. He's still largely a well-kept secret outside of Tennessee, however. (TSN.ca)
